ICARRD in the international media

©Ubirajara Machado

ICARRD has also succeeded in placing the debate about rural development and agrarian reform on the pages of many leading international media.

Your ideas and inputs, as well as those of many of the specialists and representatives from governments and civil society present in Porto Alegre travelled a long way to the front pages of newspapers in Washington, Beijing, Johannesburg, Islamabad or Madrid.

Below you can find a selection of the main features and news services published in:

•   Leading  international news agencies, such as  Reuters, EFE, IPS, AllAfrica, Xhinua , etc.

•   Leading mass media,  such as BBC, Le Monde, El País, Al-Quds Al-Arabi and many  others.

•   Radio interviews  broadcast in world service radio stations, such as BBC, Radio France,  United Nations Radio and Vatican Radio.

•   Articles on ICARRD  by the FAO Director General, Jacques Diouf.

•   Special coverage of  the Conference by the Brazilian news agency Carta Maior.

We strongly recommend reading these news clipping to those who did not have the opportunity to be in Porto Alegre but also to whom, being in the site of the conference were too busy to attend every single event!.

The complete coverage can be download here: doc| pdf
