Final Conference Report
The Issue Papers, produced for each of the five main themes of the Conference, are the main documents of ICARRD. The papers were discussed through a participatory process of consultations, including an electronic conference.
The ICARRD National Reports – 40 countries submitted voluntary reports on their progress made on agrarian reform and rural development and their experiences on access to and management of natural resources. Most of these reports came from African countries (18), 8 from Latin America, 6 from Asia, 5 from Near East, and 3 from Europe.
The ICARRD Case Studies deal with policies and practices concretely implemented in various countries. The goal of the preparation of case studies was to support the debate of the national thematic dialogues sessions at the national levels and at the Conference itself, and to promote possible partnerships and collaboration for the future. 29 case studies were prepared by national stakeholders and submitted to ICARRD: 10 came from the Africa Region: 6 from the Asia and Pacific Region; 9 from the Latin America and Caribbean Region; 3 from the Near East Region; and 1 from the Europe Region
The Technical Documents were prepared by FAO and ICARRD partners in preparation for ICARRD. This category also includes selected papers submitted to ICARRD as a result of the Call-for-Proposals initiative.
Statements include some of the Statements delivered by thirty-nine Heads of Delegation and the Holy See at the ICARRD Plenary.
