Partnership initiatives during ICARRD
What is the Partnership Fair?
- a venue to showcase progress in existing projects and partnership initiatives on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development;
- an opportunity to portrait innovative projects that exemplify success in implementing agrarian reform and rural development processes;
- an opportunity to announce and launch new joint action-oriented projects that highlight dialogue processes among diverse partners and stakeholders leading to achievements of agrarian reform and rural development processes.
- a change to liaise and network with existing and potential partners, create synergies between partnerships, identify new partners and funding sources, and learn from each other's experiences.
The ICARRD Secretariat invites all FAO departments and country offices, partner institutions, United Nations agencies, donors, governments, civil society and major groups to participate and submit their proposals for announce innovative projects or launch new initiatives that exemplify support in implementing effective agrarian reform and sustainable rural development and that highlight achievement of ICARRD – a constructive social dialogue, working towards a Platform of Action and improving national capacities.
Partnerships related to the case studies and thematic dialogue processes at the national and regional levels leading to ICARRD are particularly encouraged to participate.
The Partnerships Fair will be part of the official session of ICARRD; however, please note that ICARRD Secretariat will not be able to provide any financial resources for participation nor the organization of the event.
